Equity is intentionally small, independent and relationship-driven. We bring together decision-makers to build relationships that rarely form at larger industry gatherings.

We believe the relationships that shape venture shouldn't be left to chance. By expanding who has access to those relationships, we can expand who has the opportunity to build, own and shape enduring venture firms.

Equity Summit was founded by Katie Rae, Mar Hershenson and Trae Vasallo, three longtime technology leaders, founders and investors who had seen firsthand how access to relationships and capital shapes who gets to build and lead in venture. In 2023, Charles Hudson joined Katie and Mar as a co-executive producer.

Equity began with a clear recognition: women and underrepresented investors lacked equal access to the relationships and capital that shape opportunity in venture. The founders set out to change that by creating a space where those relationships could form.

That belief continues to shape Equity today. By intentionally bringing LPs and GPs together in a trusted, candid environment, Equity expands access to the people, perspectives and opportunities that influence who builds and leads in venture.
